This page generates programming instructions for RAK-2 and RCS series systems that have firmware version 6 in the embedded RFC-1. Users of earlier models, including RAK-1 systems and stand-alone RFC-1 systems, should use the programming pages that are compatible with those models.
Program a Telemetry Alarm Block
The RFC-1/B can respond to telemetry conditions using alarms. There are eight alarms in the RFC-1/B.
Some alarms are not valid during certain hours of the day. For example, tower lights are typically not on during the day so an alarm that monitors tower lights can be blocked so that it does not trip during daylight hours.
Alarm Block
The alarm block consists of the alarm to block, a start time and an end time.
- Alarm blocks work across midnight
- Alarm blocks can be set for a specific month
- Alarm blocks can be set for specific days of the week
- Alarm blocks begin and end on the hour–there is not a minute setting
Keep in mind that the alarm is what is being blocked, not the telemetry channel. If you want to block a tower light alarm and the tower lights are on channel 07, you must know what alarm monitors channel 07 to properly setup the block.
Shared Memory
The RFC-1/B does not have dedicated memory for alarm blocks. Instead, alarm blocks must share space with date/time triggers. The system stores stores between 48 and 80 date/time triggers.
The system knows the difference between alarm blocks and date/time triggers so you do not have to worry about keeping them listed separately. However, the system may be easier to maintain if you keep them in separate groups.
