Frequently Asked Questions
Daylight Saving Time update
The TAS-1 will automatically adjust the clock for Daylight Saving Time if the feature is enabled. The rules for Daylight Saving Time changed in 2007. TAS-1 systems sold before January 2007 require an update to support the new time change rules.
The update procedure is easy and typically requires only about 15 minutes to complete. If you are uncomfortable performing the update, Sine Systems can install it for a small fee.
Systems operating with firmware version 2.x or higher have appropriate firmware and do not need to be updated. Systems operating with version 1.x should be updated. The alternative to updating the system is to disable the automatic Daylight Saving Time adjustment.
